EAP for small business, finally one that makes sense
Resplora gives small businesses a simple way to provide confidential counselling and psychology support — with no setup fee, two flexible pricing options and a process designed for teams without a large HR department.
Why most small teams go without
Why EAP can feel out of reach for small teams
Many EAP services are designed around the needs and resources of larger organisations. For small businesses, common barriers include complicated pricing, lengthy onboarding, unnecessary administration and plans that do not reflect how smaller teams actually use support.
Built for teams of any size
How Resplora works for small business
No setup fee
Account configuration, your company Access Code and employee onboarding materials are included.
Two flexible pricing options
Designed for small teams
Resplora supports teams of different sizes without requiring a large HR department.
Simple implementation
Two ways to pay. You choose.
Some want their session costs to follow actual usage. Others want one predictable annual cost. We offer both.
Pay As You Go
Pay an annual fee for access to the program, then receive a monthly invoice for the therapy sessions your employees complete.
- Costs follow actual utilisation
- Monthly session invoices only when sessions are completed
- Flexible session allowances for each employee
- Suitable for teams expecting lower or variable utilisation
Fixed Annual Fee
Pay one annual fee covering your agreed session allowance, based on your team size and support needs.
- One predictable annual cost
- Agreed session allowance included
- No monthly per-session invoices within the included allowance
- Suitable for organisations that value budget certainty
Not sure which fits? Tell us your team size and we’ll model both for you. Most businesses decide in one conversation.
Why we don’t publish a price list: Your quote depends on your team size, chosen pricing model, session allowance and anticipated mix of counselling and psychology support. Publishing one price would not accurately represent most organisations.
Tell us what your team needs and we’ll model both pricing options for you. You’ll receive a tailored quote within one business day.
A common misconception
Psychosocial safety duties apply to small businesses too
Small businesses also have duties to protect workers’ physical and psychological health. The applicable WHS or OHS legislation depends on where your organisation and workers are located.
What is reasonably practicable will depend on your organisation’s circumstances, including its size, resources, workplace risks and the ways workers may be exposed to those risks.
Common psychosocial hazards can include:
Where an EAP fits
An EAP can provide employees with a confidential pathway to qualified professional support. It can form part of a broader psychosocial risk strategy, particularly when employees are experiencing stress, conflict, psychological distress or the effects of difficult or traumatic events.
An EAP does not replace workplace controls addressing workload, staffing, role clarity, management practices, workplace behaviour or work design.
The requirements that apply vary by jurisdiction. Check the guidance published by your state or territory WHS or OHS regulator or seek professional advice for your organisation.
Beyond compliance
Why it's worth it for small teams
1
Early support
Giving employees access to support can help them seek assistance earlier, before personal or workplace challenges become harder to manage.
2
A meaningful employee benefit
A meaningful mental health benefit shows current and prospective employees that wellbeing is taken seriously.
3
Risk management
An EAP provides a confidential support pathway that can complement your organisation’s broader psychosocial risk controls.
4
Genuine care
Your team members are people. In a small business, one person struggling can affect the whole team. An EAP backs genuine care with access to qualified professional support.

Small Business - FAQ
We’re only five people. Is an EAP really worth it?
Small teams can benefit from an EAP just as larger organisations do. One employee experiencing stress, grief, conflict or another difficult period can have a significant effect on a close-knit team. An EAP ensures confidential professional support is available when it is needed.
We don’t have an HR department. Is this complicated?
No. Resplora configures your account and provides the employee onboarding materials. Your role is mainly to share the information with your team and review the confidential aggregate utilisation report.
Do we need to explain the WHS reason to employees?
No. You can introduce Resplora as a confidential wellbeing benefit available at no cost to employees. Your broader WHS or OHS responsibilities remain an organisational matter.
What if nobody uses the service?
Availability still matters: employees know professional support is there when needed. If utilisation is likely to be low or variable, Pay As You Go may provide greater flexibility. We’ll model both pricing options in your quote.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Account setup, configuration and employee onboarding materials are included.
